On Writing Online
Introduction
From past experience I’ve noticed that writing in general — and keeping the routine — adds spice to my life. But what if the writings are intended to be published online?
Reflection
I picked up the habit of writing a diary during my student years. Back then I worked onsite at a company one hour away by train, so it felt natural to fill the commute with notes. I wrote about everything. At times my entries ranged from cheerful to self-improvement to somewhat depressing. At one point I stopped keeping the diary; it now sits on a shelf and I flick through it occasionally. It helps me reflect and remember who I was at that snapshot in time.
Now I’ve come to the point of doing it again — structured, and most importantly, online.
Of course I don’t expect many people to read this, but the thought that someone could drop by whenever they want might help me stick to the habit and keep my creativity alive.
Notes
Imagine someone watching you when you feel the urge to procrastinate.
